Kamala Harris is Pro-Bank, Pro-Immigrant, Pro- Mass incarceration and Anti-American.

170613201129-01-kamala-harris-0613-large-169

Kamala Harris is a joke. Like Obama, she is attempting use the black vote to push her pro-bank political agenda into American Policy.

She is the child of immigrants and has NO real interest in this country. Her mother is from India and her was born and raised in Jamaica. Her people weren’t even here during Jim Crow.

She married a white banker. She also decided not to charge a white predatory bank of any charges. Sounds like Kamala is Pro-Bank before she is Pro-American worker.

Read this article regarding Kamala’s failure to explain why she didn’t prosecute that corrupt bank.

She is a hypocritical fake who doesn’t impress me one bit!

Like most immigrants,  her parents came here to find a career and make money. They do not come here to assimilate into American culture. They wave their home country flags proud.

There is nothing wrong with this except, they shouldn’t be immediate competition to the American workforce. They should have to pay higher taxes or stay in the country 10 to 15 years before they are afforded the same employment and educational opportunities.

Subjecting immigrants to slavery for 300 years is also a good idea. Since they want to jump on the African American band wagon and reap the Affirmative Action benefits we died for during the civil rights movement, they should be subject to the same brutality we had to endure.

There is nothing wrong with immigrants. They should start their own movement, not piggy back off of ours. It’s blatantly disrespectful and unacceptable.

Immigrants benefiting from affirmative action is like Austrailians moving to Germany after the Holocaust trying to cash in on programs set up to exclusively benefit Jewish Holocaust victims. It’s unacceptable.

It’s like Black people trying to cash in on Reparations and land paid to Native Americans specifically. We don’t have a right to Native American benefits. However we do have a right to get paid what we are owed for services rendered through centuries of slavery and unpaid labor by our ancestors.

Part of that was supposed to be honored by keeping Affirmative action as an exclusive benefit and privilege for black descendants of slaves only.

Now what we have fought for has been diluted by gays, and immigrants. They need a movement but they cannot steal ours!

Checkout the Yvette Carnell show – This show breaks down how Affirmative action has been diluted.

African Americans built this country. Not immigrants!

Kamala Harris is concerned about the wrong things, like most neo-liberals. She is fighting to pass a bill to help curve mass incarceration rates for woman but the data shows mass incarceration is disproportionately targets African American men! This affects African American women and their communities and families the most.

The real issue is the epidemic of African American men being disproportionately targeted by the judicial system into mass incarceration. Woman’s mass incarceration is not as alarming. FACTS!

Kamala Harris, believes they did. Yet, she went to a black college, pledged to a black sorority and used Maya Angelou’s famous title to an award winning poem, “Phenomonenal Women” To sell t-shirts benefiting organizations founded by the Clinton’s.

The celebrities supporting this are all a bunch of sheeple, neo-liberal, anti-American clowns. Serena Williams, Issa Rae and Traci Ellen Ross. Vomit!

Funny how Kamala and the Clinton’s both capitalize and support mass incarceration.

Kamala is NOT Pro-American or Pro-Black. She is Pro-immigrant like Barack Obama. She is pretending to be pro-black just to earn our vote because blacks tend to be very Naive’ and she knows that.

With her history as a prosecutor and pro bank agenda, any American who supports this un-American candidate needs to reassess their values.

13 Signs You’re Fake Woke

fake woke

Tag someone who is fake woke!

The fake woke award for the month of July goes to Jay Z. Fact check his lyrics with raw data and you will see.

If you believe that you, or a loved one is suffering from being Fake Woke, please read the top 10 signs below. The first part of awakening is accepting that you’re asleep.

1.  You support Obama unquestionably, despite the fact that he set the black community back 30 years. Furthermore, you support politicians just because they are democrat or republican without reviewing their agenda, budgets, and policies for your community specifically. If you believe that everybody who is brown must be down, you are truly disillusioned.

2. You’re not involved in politics. You say things like, “I stay away from politics,” when in fact, politics is shaping your lifestyle and that of your children whether you make your voice heard or not. Just voting is not enough, researching who to vote for and demanding equality from politicians is what really counts. If you watch Keeping up with the Kardashians more than you read and watch the news, you ain’t woke son!

3. Your idea of a good wife is Black Chyna, Amber Rose or Kim Kardashian. Basically, your value system is based on purely on looks, the size of a woman’s ass or breast. Her character is meaningless to you because you lack character yourself. You like girls who have a lot of likes on social media. You idolize them just because other people do. You have no sense of authentic taste or preference in women. Everything you do and everyone you date is based on what’s trending.

fakewoke1

4. You believe changing your mindset and being more positive will magically make all the corruption in the world disappear. Positive thinking is powerful for self-improvement. However, at some point those positive thoughts need to turn into positive actions. By all means, think positive and be proactive. However, don’t act oblivious to corruption and systems set up to attack you regardless of how much you meditate, do yoga or chant Bhuddist prayers.

You still have an obligation to fight for equality and human rights. If you try to be so positive that if anyone comes to you with facts that may appear negative you label them as “A negative person” you are not woke! You are in a state of oblivion. Learn the difference. Woke people accept the yin and the yang, the sunshine and the rain.

5. You are Loyal to a fault to a religion, political party, or some other cult-like affiliation. Remaining objective, somewhat unattached and skeptical allows you to think critically regarding everything you encounter. Woke people are only committed to the truth, and they won’t ever put loyalty over what is just and what is right!

Fake woke people, deny, defend and stubbornly attack anyone who asks critical questions regarding any associations they are involved with. Vulnerable people who blindly follow institutions are fake woke. Real woke folks will stay open and observant and if they are involved in an association that they once thought was legit but turned out to be a fraud.

6. You never fact check. If you find yourself listening to unsolicited advice from doctors, professionals, co-workers, families and friends without doing research to check to see if it’s actually good advice, you’re fake woke! If you read a book and don’t do a simple Google search on the author, but take every piece of advice in the book to heart, you’re fake woke.

If you vote for a politician just because they are democrat or republican, without reviewing their policies and background thoroughly, you’re fake woke. If you listen to an album like Jay Z’s without fact checking lyrics that offer financial advice, you’re fake woke. If you buy food without reading the labels, carelessly putting anything in your body, you’re fake woke! If you don’t do the research, you are not enlightened enough to engage in critical thinking, fact checking and uncovering hidden truths.

7. You only read books when you are required to. If the only  time you find yourself reading a book is when it’s mandatory for a class or employer, you are fake woke! Reading is the vehicle to awakening. Regardless if it’s history, fiction or non-fiction, books elevate our lives by adding experiences from others to our psyche and understanding of the world. Spiritually awakened people typically keep books in rotation.

Reading a new book every other month or so. It is through books, they travel through time and space, connecting with a world from past, present and future perspectives with each new title they devour. If you don’t read books at all, your not woke. No exceptions!

first-you-learn-to-read-then-you-read-to-learn-17479628

8. You are apolitical.  I can’t stress this enough! You just don’t do politics at all. You think you are above politics but politics is what dictates the quality of your life. You cannot be woke and ignore the political climate because being woke makes you more curious about politics, especially those affecting your community, race and economic class.

Being woke makes you aware. You start to gravitate towards everything that will enlighten you. Being aware of politics and understanding your important role in taking part in it to make a change is a sure sign you are wide awake. If you don’t even know who is running in local offices in your city, parish, community, etc., You have a long way to go before you can say you’re woke.

9. You are selling a product that requires you to act like you care about other’s well being. If you are in a multi level marketing company and selling super foods in a canister or a miracle weight loss smoothie, please take several seats. Before you started selling manufactured super foods, perhaps you should of did some research. Super foods can’t be created in a lab, they only grow on trees.

Furthermore, before you started promoting theses products you really never cared about other’s health, only that of your own. Not the collective. If you find yourself suddenly becoming passionate about health after you sign up as a distributor for an MLM company, you are indeed fake woke. Stop acting like you care when your just trying to make a quick commission.

10. Everything you post on social media is a meme/quote about being woke. Everything you post is way to deep. It’s not like it’s links to educational articles or current political events. It’s just fluffy quotes on positive thinking and meditation. It’s unrealistic and most people can’t relate to it because they are too busy dealing with real life, day to day bullshit.

And you wonder why you don’t get any likes and are frequently unfollowed. You’re annoying because you preach constantly about what people should, and should not be doing or thinking. Too bad people who know you in real life know that you are a walking, talking contradiction that doesn’t take your own advice. Every quote or meme you post has an agenda behind it. You’re either trying to get likes for ego gratification, trying to sell something, or trying to act woke.

11. You believe in individual success over collective success. You are all about the come up and trying to become a millionaire. You believe some people make it and others don’t depending on how hard they work. You never educate yourself on the politics behind what it takes to be successful. You are easily swayed by celebrities and billionaires telling you that you can be whoever you set your mind to without ever doing the research to see all the help they got along the way that aided them in acquiring their wealth. You don’t know what social capital means nor do you know how generational wealth and/or poverty affects your ability to succeed.

12. You have No Chill. EVERYTHING you do online and in person is humorless and extremely, cult like political or esoterically deep. When I say deep I mean the “deep end.” People are usually baffled by your post on social media, not inspired. You are too random and unconnected like a cult ring leader who just drank the Kool-aid. You can bullshit and post funny videos online sometimes, not just all extreme political and positive thinking bullshit non-stop on a continuous loop. Give yourself a break and stop being so damn serious! Online energy vampire!

13. You think everyone has the power to change their own life. No, they don’t!  Sometimes bad things happen to good people and life sucks and it’s not fair! Do you think vision boards will help starving kids in Africa magically manifest food? Thinking positive won’t change that. Being realistic will change that, along with the healing that takes place with time. Depression is real and so it politics. Creating positive change in our lives take work, not just magical thoughts.

13. You don’t watch the Breaking Brown Yvette Carnell Show. If you don’t know who Yvetter Carnell is, you fake woke. Okay, well, I may be promoting my favorite political show on YouTube but the knowledge you can learn on this show can and will change your life. If you’re not woke, you can get woke by watching this show. Please tune in every Monday and Wednesday at 9PM CST. Checkout Irami as well. Follow them on Twitter and Facebook. Watch the show and comment below and tell me how you were ENLIGHTENED.

14. You only eat organic food and you are faithful to your commitment to veganism. However, you drink alcohol every chance you get, pop pills and smoke cigarettes. You are a walking, talking contradiction.

Are you really woke? If not, it’s okay. It’s never too late to change! It takes more than meditation and vision boards. It takes action. By all means use your boards and meditation mats but do the work as well. DO THE WORK! There is no faith without ACTIONS.

You know a “fake woke” friend. Admit it, you thought about them and laughed the whole time you read this blog.

And you’re going to share this on your Facebook page just to see if they like the post and don’t know it’s targeting them!

The Story of O.J by Jay Z is Not That Deep. A Quick Fact Check Tells You Another Story.

maxresdefault

The Story of O.J or the Story of a Hypocrite?

Jay-Z, the Sagittarius born rapper, and businessman certainly knows how to make the right moves to earn an abundance of revenue. However, just because he knows how to make money doesn’t earn him my devotion or respect.

If you’re praising people based on how much money they make, without fully investigating how they make their money, please check your morals and values at the door!

I have purchased almost all Jay Z’s music in the past, including a recent membership to his music subscription service Tidal just to listen to his newest album 444.

Of course, there was a lot of hype around the album based on its political overtones and unsolicited business advice. But after watching the phenomenal  Yvette Carnell Show on YouTube, my original thought that the album is okay but not great, was confirmed.

I realized that the messages popular artist like Jay-Z put out into the mainstream creeps into the psyche of our youth giving them ideas and beliefs about how the world works. The most popular reaction to Jay Z’s 444 album is, “Jay-Z is giving away million dollar game.” Ummm no! Not really.

Jay-Z tells all the hustlers out there to save the money they make dealing drugs to the people in their community, destroying lives in the process, and then buy the neighborhood and rinse it. When has this ever happened?

So basically the only way to earn capital as a black man is to sell drugs. This is partially true since the average black American has NO access to wealth or capital.

The question is who are these drug dealers selling drugs to? Your cousin, your auntie, and your brother. Destroying the lives of the children and families in their communities in the process.

I guess it’s justifiable because the drug dealer will eventually buy all the property in the community, so the lives destroyed by drugs is a fragment you can charge to the game.

Y’all stay woke. This is buffoonery.

Jay-Z-OJ

However, the chances of getting caught and thrown into a prison that is warehousing millions of black men is very high. And the drug game is dirty you may not make it out alive.

Instead of encouraging us to work hard to change our politics so that we have access to wealth, Jay-Z recommends illegal activity. How is that enlightening?

“You wanna know what’s more important than throwin’ away money at a strip club? Credit
You ever wonder why Jewish people own all the property in America? This how they did it” Jay Z

Jews are mostly white. In addition, Jews received billions of dollars in reparations from Germany for the Holocaust. They moved to the United States and used that money to invest. While investing they received the privilege of being white which gave them access to capital and non-predatory lending from banks.

Oh wait, The United States Federal Reserve is owned by the Jewish Rothschild family. Of course, in a well-knit Jewish community, obtaining credit shouldn’t be a problem. Jay-Z is basically saying that African American, descendants of slaves have the same access to credit and capital as Jews.

We don’t even have communities. We are redlined, gentrified and locked out at every angle. Our neighborhoods are filled with liquor stores, Pay Day Loan shops and Fried fish and chicken joints owned by Arabs.

How can we compete with Jewish people who have thriving communities?

This couldn’t be further from the truth considering the fact that Jews received over $100 billion dollars in reparations from the German Government. How much in reparations did African American slave survivors and their descendants receive from The United States Government? NOTHING.

Nothing for slavery, and nothing for 100 years of the domestic terrorism of Jim Crow. Comparing blacks to Jews is like comparing Organic Apples to a Processed Twinkie. Not even in the same food group.

That’s how the Jews did it. They received reparations and they are mainly white!

Jay Z please do some research before spewing out lyrical bullshit. It’s an insult to my intelligence and the “woke” African American community as a whole.

Before you internalize a lyric from any rap song, fact check it with data. Just because Jay-Z said it doesn’t mean it’s true.

Jay-Z is capitalizing off the trend of consciousness to appear awakened. Meanwhile, Rap Artist like Nas and Tupac were talking about the real issues affecting our communities 20 plus years ago. That being said, Jay-Z had to reach the age of 50 to have even a little common sense? He hasn’t even reached the peak of his maturity. Only monetarily he is succeeding and I’m not shallow enough to believe that his ability to make money somehow makes him the enlightened one.

That being said, Jay-Z had to reach the age of 50 to have even a little common sense? He hasn’t even reached the peak of his maturity. Only monetarily he is succeeding and I’m not shallow enough to believe that his ability to make money somehow makes him the enlightened one.

What’s so profound about suggesting we invest in residential and commercial real estate? Every day, millions of people are solicited to go to a real estate investing seminar to learn how to make money investing in properties.

Just because we hear about great investment ideas, doesn’t mean we have the means to cooperate in those opportunities.

Being that I have a background in mortgage and real estate, Jay-Z stating he should have purchased a building but he didn’t, and now he regrets it because it’s 5 times the amount it was worth 10 years ago, is not a profound lyric to me.

Jay-Z has built substantial wealth. He now has the means to buy buildings in impoverished neighborhoods. He can use his capital to restore at least one black community. Why isn’t he? Unless these efforts are underway and I am not aware of it, please enlighten me in the comments below.

Plenty of African Americans have dreams they can’t manifest. Not because they lack the education or work ethic, but because they lack the “access” to capital, social connections and generational wealth, to do so.

In addition, if you’re an optimistic entrepreneur who just happens to be African American and you got hyped up with motivation to finally apply for that SBA business loan, please keep in mind that the SBA only approved 1% of loans submitted by black entrepreneurs in 2016.

Good luck!

Check out an article I wrote a few months ago that explains that black Americans start more businesses than any other race in America but lack the capital to turn them from single sole proprietor firms to larger scale corporations.

We’ve always had the drive to strive towards entrepreneurship but there are systematic obstacles, Jay-Z fails to acknowledge in this song that hinders our success.

Jay-Z is doing a great job promoting “self-motivation” and entrepreneurship” while he conveniently leaves out the data that totally opposes his so-called profound and enlightening advice.

If you don’t have a million dollars to buy a painting, the lyric about how art appreciates should mean nothing to you in your everyday struggle.

And that poses the next question, what class of people is Jay-Z giving this advice to? Certainly not me, my aunt Lisa who makes only $40,000 a year or my cousin Joe who served his time in prison but can’t find a job with a decent wage to support himself.

It appears Jay-Z is giving advice to other rappers who he criticizes are wasting their money they earned on advances from record labels they will have to pay back. Nothing he says applies to my everyday life. After some investigating, that lyric is contradictory due to the fact that Jay-Z himself gives his own artist advances.

070617-Music-Jay-Z-Kanye-West

Y’all out here still takin’ advances, huh?
Me and my niggas takin’ real chances, uh
” Jay-Z

Jay-Z gave Kanye West a very large advance for exclusively putting his album on Tidal to help Tidal gain more subscribers. So Jay-Z is giving out advances to artist but in the same breath, he is criticizing artist who take advances from record labels?

An article on TMZ sums it up perfectly:

“The $20 million Jay-Z  fronted Kanye West was NOT a gift — as Jay insinuated on his album 4:44 — it was all part of Live Nation’s deal with ‘Ye.

Sources with direct knowledge of Jay and Kanye’s business relationship tell TMZ, the $20 million was a payout advance which could also cover expenses — including the floating stage — for Kanye’s “Saint Pablo Tour.”  The money is sometimes used to cover various production costs and staff.

It’s actually standard for artists at Kanye’s level to get such an advance.  It’s part of the deal.

Jay certainly made it sound like he and Roc Nation gifted Kanye the dough.  In the song, “Kill Jay Z” Jay raps …

“But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye // You gave him 20 million without blinkin’ // He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f*** was he thinkin’? // ‘F*** wrong with everybody?’ is what you sayin’ // But if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane.”

I find it hard to have high interest in music I can’t relate to that is based on hypocritical and fictitious dialogue.

As Antonio Moore said, “Data matters!” Check out his excellent analysis on YouTube. He is an Attorney, a writer and a real soldier in the struggle.

How Officer Yanez Created an Altercation Out of Thin Air & Murdered Philando Castile.

Philando-Castile-protest

Officer Yanez shot and killed Philando Castille in front his girlfriend and 5-year-old stepdaughter. He fired 7 shots into the car landing 5 bullets into Philando’s body while two stray bullets hit the back seat, missing the child in her car seat by a few inches.

Philando Castille was respectful and polite to Officer Yanez as you can see in the dash cam video circulating around the internet. (And in the Youtube video I posted below) He gave Officer Yanez his ID then begins to dig for his insurance. He politely tells the officer he has a gun on him. He NEVER said he was reaching for the gun.

Officer Yanez created an altercation in a calm and civilized situation by yelling “Don’t reach for the gun!” No one was reaching in the first place, Philando was looking for his insurance. Philando also said, “I am not reaching sir.”

Because Yanez has a history of over-reacting and is plagued with a severe anxiety disorder, he shot Philando by creating a violent situation where there was none, to begin with. Why would a man inform a police officer he has a weapon if he intends to use it? Why would Philando Castille have a motive to shoot Yanez? Philando Castille only has a driving record. He has no criminal record.

fear

Have you ever been in a calm situation and suddenly a trouble maker emerges who wants to disturb the peace? It’s similar to being bullied. I was bullied in school, unfortunately, and the bully always had this way of approaching me to start an altercation.

The bully would say, “Why were you looking at me like you have a problem?” I’d be confused because I never looked her way in the first place. So I would respond by saying, “I wasn’t even looking at you.” She would push me really hard and say, “Yes, you were! Stop staring at me like you want to fight me.”

I’d always be confused and extremely hurt after the incidents because it amazed me how she could provoke altercations with me out of thin air. She creatively found an issue with me by stating I was doing something to her that made her have to hit me.

Officer Yanez created a situation, in his imbalanced head, where he would have to shoot Philando. Assuming a reach when there was no reach. Similar to people who suffer from severe paranoia. Suspecting a threat when there is no real threat.

The best breakdown of the Philando Castile Murder was analyzed by The Breaking Brown Family hosted by Yvette Carnell. An extremely informative and educational show on YouTube educating viewers regarding African American politics, history and reshaping our minds to come to terms with the tremendous amount of work that needs to be done in our community to fight against inequality all across the board.

This show exhibits recordings of other incidents Officer Jerimino Yanez was involved in with various drivers he has pulled over in the past. It allows you to understand the mental instability and over the top anxiety Officer Yanez suffered from. In each recording, he responds irrationally and out of proportion to the situtaion at hand.

For example, in one recording you will hear Yanez have a panic attack because he almost got hit by a car while pulling over a driver. He was standing too far off into the street, obviously unaware of his surroundings and not of sound mind. After the truck almost hits Yanez, he totally goes into shock and has a full blown anxiety attack where he is breathing so hard and screaming so loud, other officers on the scene had to console him to calm him down.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Officer Yanez is taking Xanax and other pysch drugs to control his paranoia and anxiety.

Officer Yanez has a history of overreacting. Not a good quality for a police officer to possess. Hopefully, Yanez stays out of law enforcement and never returns. He is no longer working as an officer in Minnesota.

Rest in Peace Philando Castile. As usual, Justice was NOT served.

iPhone Plans on Adding a New Feature: Blocking Text While Driving

(Source: CNN News) Soon, Apple will introduce a new iPhone feature that will do away with that annoying — and dangerous — urge to look at a text message while you’re driving.

The feature, called “Do Not Disturb While Driving,” will be part of Apple’s iOS 11, a new version of the operating software for Apple mobile devices.

Whenever the phone is connected to a car using either Bluetooth or a cable, or if the car is moving, the phone will withhold any notifications for things like text messages or news updates.

If someone does text you while you’re driving, the phone can respond with an automatic message telling them you’re driving and can’t respond just now.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, eight people are killed each day in crashes involving distracted driving.

The iPhone screen will also be locked to prevent drivers from using many of their apps while driving. Passengers who are just riding will have the ability to indicate that they are not driving and disable the feature.

Users will be able to see Apple Maps, Apple’s navigation application, while driving — though they will be unable to input destinations. Other navigation apps, like Google Maps, will also work, although not quite as easily.

This Data Shows Your Chances of Becoming a Millionaire, and Race Is a Factor

What are your chances of becoming a millionaire? Race Matters… Unfortunately!

Everyone’s chances of wealth increase with more education, the researchers found. However, members of some races benefit from it more than others.

infographic-millionaire-school

The odds of becoming a millionaire increase significantly for whites and Asians with each degree they attain, while those same degrees don’t have as much of an impact on the chances of Hispanics and blacks.

Athletes are rare breeds and everyone cannot become a multi-million dollar by joining a professional sports team. That is not realistic and therefore it is not duplicatable. Watch the video below to see what your odds are based on race! Maybe being happy is more attainable than being rich!

Earlier research by Emmons and his colleagues found that college-educated blacks and Hispanics were much financially worse off after the Great Recession, while whites and Asians didn’t see as large a hit. One possible reason: Black neighborhoods haven’t seen the same type of housing recovery in the post-recession years as white areas, which means black homeowners (many of whom may have college degrees) have seen their wealth wither since 2008.

Trumps 2018 Budget Cuts will Deeply Cut Programs That Benefit African Americans & The Poor Working Class.

Our lives are about to change! My parents use Medicaid and disability to survive! What does this mean for our loved ones? Those who are reading this who know that if it won’t affect them personally it will definitely affect people that they know.

womenpoverty

The time is NOW to do something. We can’t let this agenda come to fruition. We MUST get involved in politics. The only voice we have is through politics. Get involved locally now!

How do you get involved with local politics? Read this step by step guide.

On Monday, President Trump released part of his 2018 budget proposal. More information is expected on Tuesday, March 26, 2017.

The biggest cuts were to the arts, scientific research, and foreign aid.

The biggest cut in the proposal is something that will affect me and my child tremendously, especially as I age is…. Medicaid.

MEDICAID

Medicaid helps about 77 million low-income people afford medical care. The American Health Care Act, which recently passed the House, proposed slashing benefits by $880 billion over 10 years. During the campaign, Trump said he wouldn’t cut these benefits, but he has since indicated otherwise.

FOODSTAMPS

Deep cuts, let us think about friends and family members dependent on food stamps who are elderly, disabled or out of work who need food stamps to eat, to get by, to feed their children and survive.

How to Get Involved with Politics Locally: A Step by Step Guide.

flas

The Information from this blog was derived from CNN Politics.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/15/politics/ways-to-be-more-politically-active-trnd/

It times to be an active citizen and do your due diligence as an American. Get involved, especially if your African American or working class Americans… The rug is being pulled from underneath our feet and it is time to fight back!

Local politics and activism

1. Know who your local legislators and politicians are
2. Know how to get in touch with them (and actually make them listen.)
Here’s a great Twitter thread from a former Congressional staffer about how to actually get politicians to listen (your phone is your best ally).
3. Identify an issue you care about and pursue it
Hopefully you don’t need too many resources on this, though here’s a good list of social issues to get you started.

TIP: Watch or listen to black political commentary radio stations, YouTube channels and TV shows that speak the truth about black politics without an agenda. In Minnesota, I recommend the “Black Democrat, Black Republican” iHeart Radio show airing live every Saturday at 6:00 pm CST. On YouTube, I recommend Yvette Carnell’s Breaking Brown show streaming live Mondays and Wednesdays at 8 pm CST – 9 pm EST

4. Attend town hall meetings
A town hall is where you, in person, can make your actual voice heard, in front of local politicians who can actually do something about it. Your congressperson will usually have a schedule of Town Hall meetings on their website, or you can check out your city’s website as well.

5. Attend City Council meetings
Alternately, attend a City Council meeting to get an up-close view of what’s important to your city’s legislators.

6. Get to know your local School Board
If you have kids in school, you probably need to know about your school board. Here’s everything about what a school board does and how you can get involved.

7. Join your local PTA
Not only can you have a direct communication with your school, you can also volunteer and participate in other ways that directly impact your community. Here’s how (and why) to join.

8. Mobilize more people to support your cause
You alone are great and awesome and boy, can you make a difference. Now imagine,a dozen more of you. Get a group together to do any of the above things; attend meetings or join an association, and your cause will be magnified.

9. Join a voting league or political organization
A non-partisan group like the League of Women Voters is a good way to get informed, or you can choose a political group that aligns with your values.

10. Register to act on behalf of a political party.
Here’s a starting place for Republicans. Here’s one for Democrats. Keep in mind your party has a state chapter, too. Not feeling the bipartisan vibe? Here’s a full list of established political parties, along with their missions and contact information.

11. Join a campaign
If you find a local politician who represents the change you want to see in your community, contact their office to figure out how you can get involved in the campaign! Maybe they’ll have you stuff mailers or put up signs or some other boring task, but the boring tasks is what actually gets stuff done.

12. Volunteer at their headquarters
Like we said, your state, city and county have party headquarters that are just waiting for your time and energy. Just give it a Google. They WANT you to help out, so it’s not that hard to find. If you’d rather stay at home, you can most likely take part in digital activism: Sending newsletters or text messages or organizing online campaigns.

13. Attend or organize rallies and events
Just make sure you’re safe and lawful. Alternately, there are always political talks and events going on, probably in your area. Look them up here.

14. Pound the pavement
If you want to influence people, you’re going to have to actually go out and, you know, MEET the people you want to influence. Here’s a good article from the New York Times on why this method actually works.

15. Volunteer to work at a polling place
To start, you can get registered on the Election Assistance Commission’s website.

16. Volunteer to register voters
Here are some openings for voter registration drives. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, simple search for your city and state, along with “voter registration drive.”

17. Vote
Make sure you’re registered. And do it in every election, not just the big ones.

18. Subscribe to a paper or other publication you believe in
If you’re unhappy with journalism or media coverage, find a publication that represents good journalism to you. Click on it often. Pay for a subscription. Support it any way you can.

19. Read up on American history and civics
USA.gov is your best friend. There’s history and civics there, but it’s just the beginning. Here’s a link to the National Constitution Center where you can read a word-for-word breakdown of the document. Here’s a link to the American History section of the Library of Congress. Go crazy.

Black Entrepreneurs Start More Businesses but fail at higher rates: Why starting a business won’t fix the wealth gap.

black business

Boyce Watkins, the founder of The Black Wealth Bootcamp, mentioned on one of his YouTube videos that if only black women would stop buying expensive weave and black men stop buying  Jordan’s we could use that money to Invest in the stock market or start a business…

Blacks are starting businesses at greater rates, but they are also failing at greater rates, according to a recent study by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.

2 out of every 5 working class black people I know, including myself, have tried to start a business and failed. I have never owned a pair of Jordans and I don’t wear weave… In fact, I am rather frugal, yet I still managed to fail at business… Not because of a lack of business savvy or a lack of ambition, but we failed because of a lack of capital! Statistically, I am not alone.

For example, 1.7 million firms will still be in existence four years after they were started. Of those, only 3,200 will have grown to 100 or more employees.

Of those 3,200, only 1% will be African-American owned.

If the majority of white own businesses fail because of lack of capital and cash flow problems, imagine how that affects black business owners who are 20 times less likely to have capital inherited and more likely to be turned down for an SBA loan compared to any other race in the U.S… I’ll wait!

According to a U.S. Bank study, a whopping 82% of businesses that fail because of cash flow problems.

It’s amazing how people try to capitalize from spreading miseducation. Boyce Watkins believes if we start more black owned businesses we will be in control of our lives and be able to accumulate lasting wealth we can pass on for generations, but how true is that statement?

While black men and women are 50% more likely to attempt a business start-up than their white counterparts, the numbers show many of those new black businesses never get off the ground. And for those that do actually start, they are not growing as quickly or as big as white-owned companies.

Even for white entrepreneurs, when starting a business, the majority of business will fail within 5 years. Starting a business has a HIGH FAILURE rate, so why on God’s green earth does Boyce Watkins use starting a business as the only hope and only solution for black Americans to achieve economic freedom and success?

  • A bit more than 50 percent of small businesses fail in the first four years.

  • In fact, of all small businesses started in 2011: 4 percent made it to the second year. 3 percent made it to the third year.

Selling false hope not rooted in reality is how a lot of these motivational speakers and pyramid schemes become so big.

question

People want to believe there’s equal opportunity on the job and in the entrepreneurial world because it’s easier to believe a lie than it is to accept the harsh truth of reality.

A realistic business plan, not rooted in black fantasies of richness and wishful thinking, can be a reality check to most black entrepreneurs. A business plan constructed in reality will tell you right away when and how your business will fail before you even start!

The problem is wishful thinking. We just hope the business plan is not true and we go on striving and hoping that something comes through for us to turn the tide of our inevitable misfortune due to lack of capital.

We want to believe that we can overcome the hurdle that capital is to the success of our business, but all the hoping, wishing and praying in the world won’t stop the harsh truth from manifesting.

Of course, if you accept reality, you have to do something about it.

It appears wishing and hoping is believed to be more productive than discussing the facts about the dire reality of both starting a business while being black and working as an employee while being black!

Yvette Carnell, Founder of Breaking Brown Black Media… Breaks it down better than I can. Please watch this video if you are tired of being told lies and you are ready to hear the truth, accept and create a plan rooted in reality that can uplift our community and put money in African Americans and poor white working class pockets!

Dr. Boyce Watkins said that the wealth gap is an illusion despite the data that proves it’s a hard fact! what a socially engineering, miseducating thing to say.

Boyce can acknowledge the wealth gap and still preach his do for self-gospel but for some reason he wants to go against the data when he can be using it as an argument to benefit his Business.

I never hear start up enthusiastics talk about the RISKS, advantages and disadvantages to start a business while black…

Advantages+&+Disadvantages.jpg

Starting a business requires an investment of money, time and resources. How much money it takes to start a business depends on the business but Data doesn’t lie, please consider this before you run off and file your LLC paperwork…

Obtaining enough financing is a problem for some: 27% of businesses surveyed by the NSBA claimed that they weren’t able to receive the funding they needed.

For those 1-in-4 businesses, the most frequent primary impact that a lack of funding had was preventing them from growing their business (especially for women- and minority-owned businesses).

It also sometimes left them unable to finance sales and forced them to lay off employees.

So the next question is, how much money is required to start a business to prevent it from closing down due to lack of capital?

How much startup capital do most small businesses need?

Well, it depends on who you ask: two surveys had very different answers to this question. According to the Wells Fargo Small Business Index, $10,000 is the average amount of startup capital required by a small business owner. But the Kauffman Firm Survey suggests that the figure is more like $80,000.

Wells Fargo is an active agent in lending blacks predatory loans, so I’d take their advice about business capital with a grain of salt… The Kauffman firm’s projection of $80k is much more believable.

“So when you piece together the various data, you can see the story that unfolds, which is a story about a tremendous gap between a minority’s dream of entrepreneurship and the reality of making it happen,” says Wendy Guillies, spokesman for Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.

The Danger of Gay Men Who Are Afraid to Come Out & How They Affect Families, Communities & Children

United We Stand
United We Stand

Using the national census, Gallup polls, Facebook, dating sites and porno searches, a study from The New York Times estimates that at least 5% of American men are gay, while many are in the closet or quietly suffering in heterosexual marriages — particularly in traditionally conservative states.

I support the freedom of sexuality. I support Gay marriage. I support equality for all.

However, what I do not support is bi-sexual men, not disclosing their sexuality to straight and single heterosexual woman.

I’ve heard countless stories from friends and clients who were married to men who they discovered were down low brothers.

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last decade, allow me to define what a “Down Low Brother,” is. It’s a gay man who is afraid to come out of the closet and just be gay!

Down low men use heterosexual women as props to uphold the image that they are not gay in public. However, these men don’t love these women and they typically cheat with multiple male gay partners to indulge their true gay sexuality.

This is manipulative, narcissistic, scandalous and dangerous considering the diseases these unsuspecting heterosexual women are being exposed to.

I am very disappointed in the LGBT community for not starting a campaign to address this highly problematic issue to their community.

Instead of encouraging members of the LGBT community that it is their responsibility, to be honest, and disclose their sexuality, the LGBT community plays the victim role and blames our homophobic society for the reason Gay men are afraid to come out of the closet.

closets

A “large number” of gay men are married to women. Google searches suggest millions of wives suspect their husbands of being gay. Especially those who live in very conservative states.

In the United States, of all Google searches that begin “Is my husband…,” the most common word to follow is “gay.” “Gay” is 10 percent more common in such searches than the second-place word, “cheating.” It is 8 times more common than “an alcoholic” and 10 times more common than “depressed.” The states with the highest percentage of women asking this question are South Carolina and Louisiana. In fact, in 21 of the 25 states where this question is most frequently asked, support for gay marriage is lower than the national average.

I often hear excuses like, “The black community is too homophobic, it’s dangerous to come out of the closet.” or My family won’t understand, my father would disown me.

The absolute worst excuse for not coming out is, “I am afraid to hurt my wife, girlfriend or children.”

Everyone is responsible for sexual transparency. Gay men do not get a free pass just because they are afraid to come out. If you are secretly gay and living a lie, you are intentionally hurting other people and you should be held accountable for your actions.

If a man is Gay, and he does not disclose his sexuality to the women he is dating, married to or in a relationship with, he should be held legally accountable for that.

no-photos-1500x632

As far as black women are concerned, since black men tend to hide their Gay sexuality on a larger scale, I would even go as far as saying if your going to get married, add a clause in your marriage contract if you find out your husband is hiding the fact that he is Gay or Bi-sexual.

If you find out while you’re married he’s been lying about his sexuality, he should be sued for everything he has! All property, assets and even alimony should be rewarded to the spouse who has to bear the cost of the hurt, pain, and betrayal of being married to a down low brother.

The issue I have is that Gay people believe that once they come out, they should get a damn reward or something, regardless of who they’ve been lying to their whole life and who they betrayed in the process of keeping their real sexuality a secret. I call it the Caitlin Jenner affect.

Why should anyone be rewarded for lying about who they really are their ENTIRE LIFE?

The character of a person is important despite their sexual orientation. If you are a lying, cheating, down low brother, you are not a good person! Being afraid to come out of the closet is no excuse for being a liar!

I recently met a guy who I believe is secretly gay. He won’t come out because he’s an asshole. It has nothing to do with him being afraid of coming out.

His mother suspects he is gay, and she even asked him. Of course, he denied it. He continues to battle with his own sexuality more than likely sleeping with both men and women in the process.

Exposing women to HIV, carelessly while selfishly getting sex from both genders. These types of people should be prosecuted by the law, just like a person who knows they have AIDS and sleeps with people without disclosing that information upfront.

We need to start holding down low brothers accountable for their selfish actions instead of feeling sorry for them. To all my gay friends who are proud of their sexuality and will tell you in 1.2 seconds, they are Gay with no shame or remorse, I commend you.

Not to mention, Gay men who are married to women and have children literally devastate their kids with their sudden bravery to come out of the closet.

kids

Had they been honest from the beginning, there would be no marriage and no kid to hurt! I am not sure how kids recover from the betrayal of their fathers. It’s devastating to find out your father was hiding such a big part of himself from you.

Openly gay people are honest, courageous and overall good people of good character. I have to respect that. But for those afraid to come out who are lying to single, heterosexual women while exposing them to disease and heartbreak, I am coming for you and my wrath is not made of pity but rather the highest form of prosecution the law can uphold against you!

Be yourself, trust me, many people already suspect that you are gay, so coming out won’t surprise as many people as you think it will.
